Hermès helmsman Jean Paul Gaultier has put it right out there by redesigning the sacred 'Birkin' bag for spring/summer. This is no small innovation, given that the original is in such demand that there is a wait to get on the waiting list. But JPG's changes work – now you can actually get the bag over your shoulder. No of course we don't know this from first hand experience - there's a waiting list!! Ok.. hands up if you used to watch Eurotrash...
